Scuba Divers from the Twin
Tiers Region of New York and Pennsylvania meet the third Thursday of each
month at 7 p.m. in Corning, N.Y. to plan dive trips to the Finger Lakes
and surrounding region. Locations of our meetings vary. Please
contact Ken Smith
for more information on our next meeting.
Our membership is a $10
annual fee and is open to any certified scuba diver.
In the heart of New York State
lie six slim lakes called the Finger Lakes. From west to east, these
lakes are: Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga, Owasco & Skaneateles.
These lakes derive their names from the language
of the Iroquois Indians who peopled this region before white settlers arrived. The central New York area surrounding these lakes has become known as the Finger Lakes Region. |
